What a beautiful ode to your Granny. I can't get enough of the ties that bind us together and make us who we are. It's really beautiful. <3

This captured my breath. It feels shamanistic, esoteric….which I madly love. I want to be sitting and watching the magic unfold inside this poem’s homestead and in the minds of you and your Gran. Such precious unfolding.

Oh - never think that, Susannah! I have a piece here on Substack that was written in 1996, along with others that were written the day I published them.

When I read someone else's work I don't think "how old is this?" Good Poetry is not milk. It doesn't have an expiry date. :)

Your poem today being an example. It's beautiful, and I love the photo!

Best Wishes - Dave :)

i thought that myself until i realized the words are new every time they’re read by anybody, including myself — so why not sprinkle beauty from all times and places all over the world?!
