I found this Poem delicious. All of it, and especially:
"I nettle, I stitchwort, I moss.
moss, moss, earth’s pelt,
worn like a shrug on the old oak."
We will definitely buy your collection when it appears. Congratulations again!
Meanwhile, have a fabulous journey.... You will have seen that our own travels generate a lot of my Poetry, and Meg's Art. I don't think I could produce a work a day, because it might become workaday. Also (as M could tell you) when in a new place, most days, I am just too excited to sit still - I'm off exploring.....
I call it my "subject accumulation" phase. In reality I'm just having fun - most recently, climbing around sea cliffs and finding sea caves and secret coves. I come back with photographs and an overflowing mind, and eventually that foams out as Poetry, or something, or the pressure of it all would just make me go Pop!
So - go exploring! Have fun! Show us what you see!
Thanks so much!! I just read through all yours! Las time I looked you hadn’t posted anything! Wonderful! You ought to join my poem a day group on FB! ❤️
I hear you. Sometimes I find words just flow but usually writing is painful and somehow, we find ways to hide the pain of creation. You do an awesome job of that!
I do a poem a day for two months of the year and I very much feel like it’s pulling teeth - especially at the beginning!!! Then it starts to flow but the initial push - ouch!!!
The images in your poem are startling & delicious. All at the same time
Thank you!! 😊 a very meaningful comment!!! ❤️
Just gorgeous! Have a wonderful trip 💙
Thank you!!! 😊

Love the fey-sizing earthward unbound and scent-dazed. Such melodies among the wee. Congrats on collection #1, may the foundation build well.
Thank you so much I love the drift in this delicious comment! ❤️
Oh how delicious. I loved 'I moss...' What a glorious image of the shrug for the old oak. Nature writing is hard and you make it look effortless.
Thank you!! I can assure you it doesn’t always feel effortless!! But I’m glad it feels like it!! ❤️
