Blue Cure
a poem of a moment.
I dream I found a cure for humankind. I had to live with it, through the dawn. Tucked under my heart-covers like a doctor, or a mother might tuck me in at night. In the morning I should lie down in wet grass and see the sky is blue, BLUE. The kind of blue that crows like a cock. My daughter, blinks, blinks again, as if the sky were a luminous dragon. She makes a flicker film of it's wings. I remember, then, tartan sky, sequin-sun shock, the nose-glint of a plane. Those old things. Breathe in and out. Our sheets are washed clean and billow on the line. I close my eyes to the sun and I am momentarily dying. I am not frightened of it this brilliant tunnel.
I have been distracted and un-substack-y so sorry! I went on a romantic weekend to Berlin with my husband to honour our 11 year anniversary. I came back full of wonder at the Natural History Museum (why didn't I follow that calling?!) with my belly full of vegan Asian-Fusion Michelin starred food and a whole heart full of love.
I am gearing up for the Christmas markets here in Germany and getting lots of stock ready so busy fingers mean less writing and less posting! ive been making all manner of toadstools and some delicious trinket bowls with golden mandalas in their centre!
Recently I have been exploring microdosing psilocybin to encourage happier moods one thing that strikes me during these moments is the blue of the sky. Perhaps more pertinent I am reminded the cure for the heart’s pain is simply to be in the beauty of this gorgeous miraculous world.
It's rare that anyone offers me a coffee but in case you have enough in your own pot to share with me here is my jar humbly held up to receive. you are all magnificent and know just what to do if these words move you, restack, recommend or joyously leave a comment! I love you all and all interactions are welcome!

You stole my heart with this poem, Susannah ❤️
Love. If I weren't bipolar and already on so many medications, I would try a little of everything. Squeeze the pulp from every fruit.
